How to use DrawingCheck

  1. Open DrawingCheck from Chrome.
  2. Select or drag in one or more PDF drawing files.
  3. Review the extracted drawing number, title, revision and filename information.
  4. Open any sheet marked Needs review.
  5. Compare the extracted metadata with the source drawing.
  6. Correct or confirm the information and mark the sheet as verified.
  7. Export the drawing register when the package is ready.

Supported files

DrawingCheck is designed primarily for PDF drawings with selectable text. Scanned/image-only drawings may require manual metadata entry because the current release does not perform OCR.

Common questions

Why was a drawing number or revision missed?

Drawing title blocks vary widely. Extraction is a suggestion, not a guarantee. Open the sheet review and verify the source before issue.

Does DrawingCheck upload my drawings?

No. The current release processes selected PDFs locally in Chrome and does not upload them to DrawingCheck servers.

Why does a sheet say “Needs review”?

A sheet may be flagged when information is missing, duplicated, inconsistent or still awaiting source verification.

Does DrawingCheck modify my original PDF?

No. Where reviewed text additions are supported, DrawingCheck exports a separate PDF copy. The original source file is not modified in place.

How do I report a problem?

Email grab2sheetsupport@gmail.com with a description of what happened, your Chrome version, and a screenshot if useful. Do not send confidential drawings unless you explicitly intend to share them for support.
